If x is the amount of boys that Emma has, then Andrew has x - 1 brothers, Because Andrew has twice the amount of sisters than brothers he has 2x - 2 sisters.
The only intergral solution for this is when x = 3 And because the amount of Andrew's sisters Is the amount of girls that Emma have. And Andrew has 4 sisters. Therefore 3 + 4 = 7 And Emma has 7 children.
