The diagonals formula is 2 n ( n − 3 ) for a n-gon. We have to substitute n = 1 0 to the formula because a decagon has 10 sides. So 2 1 0 × 7 . Then the answer is 3 5 .
Formula: D = 2 n ( n − 3 )
We know that a decagon has 10 sides, now substitute:
D = 2 n ( n − 3 )
D = 2 1 0 ( 1 0 − 3 )
D = 5 × 7
D = 3 5
D = D i s c r i m i n a n t f o r a q u a d r a t i c e q u a t i o n ?

There is ( 2 1 0 ) − 1 0 = 4 5 − 1 0 = 3 5 .
In a decagon, there are 10 sides and every two points connect a side, we need to eliminate the sides of the decagon that doesn’t form a diagonal.
