A rabbit farmer has 1 pair of rabbits. The pair gives birth to a new pair of rabbits each month. The offspring pairs need 1 month to get mature and starts reproduction after that.
How many pair of rabbits the farmer will have after 12 months?

In the first month the pair will give birth to another offspring so the number of rabbit pairs will be 2. In the second month the parent pair will reproduce again but the 1st offspring will not . So the number of pairs will be 3 in the 2nd month. In the 3rd month, the parent and 1st offspring will reproduce but the 2nd generation will not. so the number will be 5 pairs then. Similarly in month 4 the number will be 8.
if we check the numbers from the beginning, they are 1,2,3,5,8 and so. If we closely follow, we can realize that its a Fibonacci series, means the value of each term will be the summation of the previous two terms.
In this way, the number of rabbit pairs in the 12th month will be 377.
