12 1 by 1 squares,
6 2 by 2 squares,
1 3 by 3 square,
1 4 by 4 squares

A total of 20 squares.

Sorry, can't find the 3x3. Where is it hiding?

Which extra one did you find? If your count disagrees with Denton's can you explain which type of square it is?
