Total food = 300 × 90 300×90

Food left after 20 days = 300 × 90 300 × 20 = 300 × 70 300 × 90 - 300×20 = 300 × 70

Men left = 300 50 = 250 300 - 50 = 250

Number of days food will last = 300 × 70 250 \frac{300 × 70}{250}

A n s w e r = 84 d a y s \boxed{Answer = 84 days}

The remaining food is sufficient for 300 men for 90-20 days=70 days

Remaining number of men=300-50=250

So,let the remaining food will be sufficient for 250 men be y days.

Number of men|| 300 || 250 ||

Number of days|| 250 || y ||

Less men will have food for more days. This is inverse proportion.

300 x 70 = 250 x y

300 x 70 = 21000

21000÷250=84

The number of days is 84.
