Let CP of 20 items = y

CP of 1 item = y/20

CP of 20 items = SP of 16 items

SP of 16 items = y

SP of 1 item = y/16

Profit = y/16- y/20 =y/80

profit%= y/80*100/y/20 =25

Let selling price= z Let cost price = y Therefore 16z = 20y

1.25y = z

Profit = x = [(1.25y - y)/y] x 100% = 0.25 x 100% x = 25%
