initially suppose shopkeeper(A) have a 1000rupee note, that is locked and he don't want to touch that money, now since lady gave 1000rs note and he doesn't want to open the locker, so he brought a change of 1000rupees from the shopkeeper(B), now from the change the shopkeeper(A) kept 200rs with him and returned the rest 800rs to the lady, now the lady left with the things of worth 200rs and money 800rs. Now since the note is fake so shopkeeper(A) has to give 1000rupees to shopkeeper (B), shopkeeper(A) has no option now and he have to open the locker and so he gave the 1000rs note to shopkeeper (B), so now shopkeeper (A) have only 200rs that he got by selling the product to the lady. shopkeeper(A) previously had 1000rs in the locker and now he have only 200rs with him, so his overall loss is 800rs +200rs for the product, overall loss=1000rupees
