The sum of Michelle, her mother and her grandmother's age is 100. Her grandmother is twice as old as her mother. Her mother is 28 years older than Michelle. How old is her grandmother?


The answer is 64.

x + (x+28) + 2(x+28) = 100

100 = x+x+28+2x+56

100 = 84 + 4x

4x = 16

x = 4

Her grandmother's age = 2(x+28) = 2(4+28) = 64

x = 4 x=4

Grandmother's age= 2 ( 4 + 28 ) = 64 2(4+28)=64
