How Old is Jovie?(Solving Problem From The Back)
The age of Jovie and Lyn when added together make 44 years. Now Jovie is twice as old as Lyn was when Jovie was half as old as Lyn will be when Lyn is 3 times as old as Jovie when jovie was 3 times as old as Lyn. How old then, is Jovie?

Jovie is 27 + 1/2 yrs old and Lyn is 16+1/2. This will be clear if you trace the question backward, for when Lyn was 5+1/2 yrs old, Jovie was 16+1/2. Now when Lyn 3 times that age she will be 49 + 1/2 yrs old. Half of this 24+3/4, and when Jovie was that aged Lyn was 13+3/4. Accordingly Jovie's aged was twice this or 27+1/2.
