I am still a liar

Logic Level 1

You come across two people, one of whom says to you "At least one of us lies sometimes." Is he lying or telling the truth?

He's lying He's telling the truth It's impossible to tell

The speaker says that, " At least one of us lies sometimes". If he speaks a lie, then he cannot say this because the sentence he means that both of them are speaking the truth, but he is lying.
Thus, we conclude he is saying the truth.

I think it's a problem with the formulation. "At least" and "sometimes" introduces in my opinion too much ambiguity, hence I chose the answer "Impossible to tell". I might be wrong but I think the formulation should be: "One of us is lying". In this case the "statement as such" would be true in both cases (both when he is lying and when he is telling the truth). In other words, even when he is lying, the statement would still be true!

The "Atleast" means one and above, so both of them could be liars at the same time, i think its impossible to tell if he tells a lie or not. what if both of them tells a lie? And what if this is already the "SOMETIMES" moment he's saying?

If he speaks a lie , it can mean that both of them are lying too...isn't?

I agree , It can not be determined. Both could be liars all the time. He can lie sometimes. the other guy coud lie sometimes.

What about in the question where it says "at least" and "sometimes?" By his saying "at least one of us lies sometimes," it is inconclusive unless we include the principle that all people lie sometimes. Since it says "at least" it can mean one or both of them lie all the time instead of just sometimes. He could also very well be telling the truth.
