So you have a train that is 15 kilometres in length going at 30 km per hour. It has to completely pass through a tunnel that is 15 kilometres in length (from tip to end). How much time will this take?

The length of the train is 15 kilometers and the length of the tunnel is also 15 kilometers. Therefore, because the problem says completely pass through , it will take 30 kilometers because once the train's front is at the end of tunnel the back of the train is at the very beginning. It also tells us that the train is going at 30 kilometers per hour. Because the train needs to go 30 kilometers at 30 kilometers an hour, it will take 60 minutes or one hour. I hope this helps!
