There's a shop recently opened by Professor Willow, where you can buy his egg incubators individually or in batches. Which of the following is the most cost-efficient package to buy?

5 egg incubators for the price of 700 coins 12 egg incubators for the price of 1500 coins 1 egg incubator for the price of 150 coins 2 egg incubators for the price of 300 coins

All we are trying to figure out is the cheapest option.

Let's assume 1 1 coin = 1 ¢ = 1¢

$ 15 12 = $ 1.25 \frac {\$15}{12} = \$1.25

$ 3 2 = $ 1.50 \frac {\$3}{2} = \$1.50

$ 7 5 = $ 1.40 \frac {\$7}{5} = \$1.40

$ 1.50 1 = $ 1.50 \frac {\$1.50}{1} = \$1.50

12 12 egg incubators for 1500 1500 coins is definitely - or rather, eggs -actly - the most cost-efficient package.

But it would take me a total of 150 days to take down 10 gyms every day just to get that bundle of incubators =(

"Worthwhile" is a decidedly relative term. If one can't afford so many incubators at one time then a bird in the hand is worth two (or more) in the distant future. Perhaps "cost-efficient" would be a more precise choice of adjective than "worthwhile".
