If f ( 4 x 1 ) = x f(4x-1) = x , what is f ( 2 ) + f ( 4 ) + f ( 6 ) + f ( 8 ) f(2) + f(4) + f(6) + f(8) ?

The easiest way to find f(2) is to equate 4x - 1 = 2 and solve for x

This gives f(2) = 3/4 Similarly, f(4) = 5/4, f(6) = 7/4 and f(8) = 9/4

Adding, we see that f(2) + f(4) + f(6) + f(8 = 6/
