As Aries is old so he is out of question. Now we are left with two options.
According to statement 3 we conclude that John is not youngest.
Thus we are left with one option: Joseph .

In the 1st statement it says that Aries is the oldest, then in the 2nd statement it says that Joseph is not the oldest and in the 3rd statement it says that John is not the youngest.therefore from this we get that

Aries's age > John's age > Joseph's age

This problem is solvable using the process of elimination.

We know Aries is the oldest, so add that to the oldest brother position:

OLDEST: Aries
MIDDLE:
YOUNGEST:

Joseph is not the oldest, but at this point that could mean he is the middle or youngest brother, so we'll come back to him.

John is not the youngest. As we know Aries is the oldest, this means he can only go in the middle brother position as it's the only one available.

OLDEST: Aries
MIDDLE: John
YOUNGEST:

Now we can return to Joseph. We know he's not the oldest, meaning that the remaining youngest position fits with this information.

OLDEST: Aries
MIDDLE: John
YOUNGEST: Joseph

Now that the brothers are sorted by age, it's easy to see that Joseph is the youngest.

If Aries is the oldest, the youngest will be either Joseph or John. Again if John is not the youngest, it is obvious that Joseph is the youngest.

Aries isn't the youngest because she is the oldest, and John isn't the youngest because he isn't the youngest and all who is left is Joseph.

This question is a bit weird because the offered conclusions are not necessarily true. It says that Aries is the oldest, but then uselessly states that Joseph is not the oldest (duh?) and then states that John is not the youngest --but they could both be the same age, technically (John and Joseph). Of course the likelihood of two people being exactly the same age is almost completely null, but it remains nonetheless. That is why I chose neither, because the other option was ungodly obvious.

Aries is the oldest. He is not the youngest.

Joseph is not the oldest. Of course, he isn't, Aries is. He could be the youngest.

John is not the youngest.

So Joseph is the only possible youngest.

Clue 1: Aires is the oldest. We can eliminate Aires since he is the oldest. Clue 2: Joseph is not the oldest. He might be in the middle, or the youngest. Clue 3: John is not the youngest. Since he is not the youngest, we are left with Joseph.

Hence the answer is Joseph.

If Aries is oldest and John is not the youngest, then Joseph is youngest. You don't need clue 2 to solve the problem.

Since Aries is the oldest (and hence not the youngest) and John is not the youngest, it leaves Joseph as the only possibility to be the youngest, and since it is given that he is not the oldest (which is in accordance to him being the youngest) - the only possible solution is the Joseph is the youngest.
