Impulse during SHM

Consider a block undergoing simple harmonic motion along X-axis.During this motion, when the block is at a displacement of + 2 c m +2 \space cm from the mean position and moving in positive X direction, an impulsive force is given which increases its amplitude from 2 2 c m 2\sqrt2 \space cm to 4 c m 4 \space cm .If initially it took 3 s e c o n d s 3 \space seconds for block to travel from this point to its extreme position, how much time(in seconds) it will take to travel from this point to its extreme position after the impulse is given?

The answer is 4.
