A man who was born in the 18th century said that he was $x$ years old in the year of $x^2$ . What will be his age in the year of 1776?

In this problem , the question ask 's the value of the age of a man whose age is $x$ when $x^2$ is the year where $x$ lies in $1700 - 1800$

Now $42^2$ is the only number which lies in this range.

And $42^2 = 1764$

Hence Mans age $42$ at the year $1764$ . Hence Now we need to find age is $1776$ .

Now $1776-1764 = 12$

So 12 years hence man's age $42+12 = 54$ $(Ans)$
