A parasite is an organism that depends upon the host, for both food and shelter, which may cause diseases.

  • Clearly, the house louse sucks blood via the human scalp, taking food from the host(human)

  • Also, by laying eggs(nits) on the hair of the human, it takes shelter from the host

  • As well as, It spread diseases like Epidemic Typhus, Trench Fever, etc.
