Let the cost of one Orange be x x .

Now money spend on buying 3 Oranges = 3 x 3x and in return you are getting 4 Oranges

\therefore cost of one Orange = 3 x 4 \frac{3x}{4}

And similarly the cost of 1 Orange which comes out from B Option is = 7 x 10 \frac{7x}{10} .

Now Comparing the costs 3 x 4 \frac{3x}{4} > > 7 x 10 \frac{7x}{10} .

Hence Offer A is more costlier than Offer B.

Therefore the Buyer should choose Offer B \large \boxed{\text {Offer B} }

We can buy 20 oranges either:

  • for the price of 15 ( Offer A, 5 × (3 + 1) = 20)

or

  • for the price of 14 ( Offer B, 2 × (7 + 3) = 20)

Hence, our answer should be: Offer B \text {Hence, our answer should be: } \boxed { \text { Offer B}}

(That is, if the oranges are basically identical (same size/variety/quality) and the calculated unit prices (based on just 3 and 7 oranges, (without the free ones) are also identical at the two offers. Also, if we need the number of oranges to be a multiple of 10. (So B might not be the best offer if e. g. we only need 5 oranges.) Otherwise, we don't have enough information to determine, which offer is the better.)
