Consider a circle of radius R.A point charge lies at a distance a a from its centre and on its axis such that R=a 3 \sqrt3 .If electric flux passing through the circle is ϕ \phi ,then the magnitude of point charge is x ϕ \phi ϵ 0 \epsilon_0 .Find x value.

Use the flux through a solid angle θ \theta due to a point charge is given by ϕ \phi ϵ \epsilon = q 2 \frac{q}{2} (1-cos θ \theta ).With R=a 3 \sqrt3 we have cos θ \theta =0.5...Now it is an easy math to see that q=4 ϵ \epsilon * ϕ \phi .Hence x=4.

I derived it haha.... What a fool I am
