A C ^ \widehat{AC} and B C ^ \widehat{BC} are arcs with centers B B and A A respectively. The circle in the figure passes through the midpoint of A B AB and touches both the arcs. If A B = 12 AB=12 , find the radius of the circle.


The answer is 4.5.

I don't get why BD goes through center O?

Because if two circles are tangent, the centres and the point of tangency are aligned.
