If B is 100 with 25 % greater A will be 125. Now,Calculating for 100, from 125, it is 80 % Therefore ,B is smaller to A by 20%(100-80).Ans

Let B=100,

which gives A= 125

now, B is 25% less than A i.e. A= B + (25B/100)

which implies (4A/5) = B

4*100/5=80% which implies ==> 80% of A = B

so, B is 80% of A and hence clearly, B is 20% less than A.

let b=100 then a=125 so x%= [(125-100)/125] *100 = 20%

Ans : 20% Let B be 100 and so A will be 125. [(125-100)/100]x100 . i.e A is 25 % more than B. To find how much % B is less than A [(125-100)/125]x100 which gives the ans 20%

Smallest possible value for B is 4. Then A is 5. 4 is smaller than 5 with 20 percents.

(A-B)/B = 0.25B. Therefore A = 1.25B . So in the next example where (A-B)/A. We replace A by 1.25B. After substitution, we get that B is smaller than A by 0.25B/1.25B - which is equivalent to 1/5 so 20%

Since A=B+0.25B, therefore B=(1-(1/1.25))A

Since we want the numbers in percent, we could try taking numbers as hundreds.

Therefore let 'A' be = 100. Since "B" is greater than "A" by 25 percent, in this case, it'll be greater by 25. Therefore "B" = 100+25 = 125

Now let's consider taking "B" as 100. We have to find out "A".

Using the Ratio and Proportion method, A = 100 ; B = 125. So when we consider B as 100, the equation will be :

A = Old A * new B / old B

 = 100 * 100 / 125

 = 80

To find out their difference in percent, subtract 80 from 100.

Answer = 20 That's it.
