A body of mass 2 kg 2\text{ kg} rests on a horizontal surface. The coefficient of friction between the body and the floor is 0.5 0.5 . If the body of pulled with a force of 8 N 8\text{ N} at an angle of 3 0 30^\circ with the horizontal, then what is the value of limiting friction between the mass and the floor?

Lets draw the figure....

Now Normal Force = ( 2 g 8 s i n 30 ) = 16 N . ( 2g - 8 sin 30) = 16N .

Hence N μ N \mu = f r f_r

hence f r f_r = 8 N.
