Is the bucket half filled?

Suppose we watch a bucket from the top as we pour water in it. Then the base of the bucket will appear shifted upwards. If the height of the bucket is h , h, what is the height of the water (from the base) that makes the bucket appear half filled when seen from the top?

Bonus: If the refractive index of water is μ \mu , find the height of the water (from the base) that makes the bucket appear half filled when seen from the top.

Less than h 2 \dfrac{h}{2} Equal to h 2 \dfrac{h}{2} Greater than h 2 \dfrac{h}{2}
