2-2+2-2+2-2+2-2+2-2+2...∞ = 2(1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1...∞ ) Now 1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1...∞ is the famous Grandi Series The sum of which is commonly accepted to be 1/2. => 2((1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1...∞) = 1

How can adding integers and subtracting integers get a fraction? Infinity is even because it can be divided by 2, and the sum at any even place (the second spot, 4th spot, etc.) is zero.
