Is this possible....????

PQRS denotes a four digit number (where P,Q,R & S are the digits of the number). Now first arrange the digits in descending order and then ascending order. After that subtract the smaller from the bigger one. And repeat these steps n-times. So what will be the answer after n-times ?

Ex: Let, a three digit number be 435 Now arrange the digits in descending order viz 543 And arrange the digits in ascending order too viz 345 And now subtract it (543-345)=198 Now repeating the steps...... (981-189)=792 Now do it for n-times.

The answer is 6174.

I haven't any solution. But you can try with your calculator to take any four digit number and do as the steps directed in the problem. After some steps the answer will be always 6174 and it will not change.
