4 x + 12 x + 3 = 4 × ( x + 3 ) x + 3 = 4 × x + 3 x + 3 Note that x + 3 0 = 4 \begin{aligned} \dfrac{4x+12}{x+3} & = \dfrac{4\times (x+3)}{x+3} \\ & = 4\times \dfrac{x+3}{x+3} & \text{Note that} \ x+3\neq0 \\ & = \boxed{4} \end{aligned}

take common(4).then the numerator and the denominator will be same.
