Let the numbers be x

Mean of 1st 5 consecutive integers is 21 =>x+x+1+x+2+x+3+x+4/5 =21

=>5x+10 / 5=21

=>5x+10=105

=>5x=95

=>x=19

therefore the smallest of the five consecutive integer is x i.e 19

Shouldn't it be 6x??

there are five consecutive integers

let the smallest integer be x

the following integers are x+1, x+2, x+3, x+4

to add the five integers, it's 5x+10
