The two blue triangles with stars are congruent \implies the corresponding sides are congruent. Then the area of triangle A B C ABC is 9 × 12 2 = 54 \frac{9\times 12}{2} = 54

Alternative solution by moving one green triangle: Then the desired area is 6 × 9 = 54 6\times 9= 54
