Janked Up Mario Party

As shown above, "1F8" is a level in a Super Mario Hack called Janked Up Mario Party . It is named because it's the hexadecimal number of a specific block which let the sprites have strange behavior. When a sprite falls on the block, the sprite will lose acceleration and do uniform motion as if no forces are applied on it, following Newton's first law.

What is 1F8 represented in decimal system ?

The answer is 504.

In hexadecimal, A = 10 A = 10 , B = 11 B = 11 , C = 12 C = 12 , D = 13 D = 13 , E = 14 E = 14 , and F = 15 F = 15 .

Therefore, 1 F 8 16 = 1 1 6 2 + 15 1 6 1 + 8 1 6 0 = 504 1F8_{16} = 1 \cdot 16^2 + 15 \cdot 16 ^1 + 8 \cdot 16^0 = \boxed{504} .
