Joel's Problem 1

Algebra Level 4

I will be posing some problems in order of increasing difficulty, and this will be the first.

How many vertical asymptotes does the (cartesian coordinate) graph of y = ( x + 3 ) ( x + 2 ) ( x + 1 ) ( x + 2 ) ( x + 1 ) x y=\frac{(x+3)(x+2)(x+1)}{(x+2)(x+1)x} have?

(x+1) and (x+2) cancel leaving (x+3)/x which means there is one asymptote at x = 0. (there are holes at x = -1 and x = -2)

I think this isn't for Level 3. It's not that hard, you know.

I think this is one of the most uselss solutions ever -_-
