John the boy was one day to be a man. Jimmy was one day to go to school with John. Jimmy and John worry for each other and do everything together. They both go to the same school. John receives straight A's (sometimes), yet Jimmy doesn't fare as well. John speaks lies on days he receives no A's, And Jimmy speaks lies on days A's are received.. Exams are soon, so John and Jimmy study together. They return home from exams. The man received an A, yet the other did not. One lies, yet the other doesn't. One, on that fateful day, told the other the grades received were all A's. The other said that a B was received. Days and days go on, and the parents, who never would cheat on each other, of the boy are worried. The girlfriend of the same worries as well, and no one else.

First the question of who the is liar will be discussed. We know that John lies if he does not get an A that day. Jimmy lies if she does get an A. We know that one lied and the other told the truth. "The Man" refers to John, and we know he receives an A, but we do not know how many. We know, however, that Jimmy did not receive an A, and, since we assume that Jimmy doesn't lie unless she receives an A, we know that she did not lie. The only option left is John. We know it is John based on the statement that one lied and the other didn't, and we have proven that Jimmy did not lie.
The second question of who John's girlfriend will now be discussed. We do not originally know who Jimmy is, but all we know is that they spend a lot of time together. At the beginning, it states that Jimmy and John always worry for each other. We later know of three people who worry for him: his mom, his dad, and his girlfriend. We know that John's girlfriend cannot be one of his parents, because they would never cheat on each other. That leaves only one option: Jimmy. Jimmy and John always worry for each other, and only three people worried for him, the only of those who could actually be his girlfriend Jimmy.
