Let the adjacent side be x

$\Rightarrow$ $cos 45$ = $\frac {1}{\sqrt{2}}$ = $\frac {x}{16}$

$\Rightarrow$ x= $\frac {16}{\sqrt{2}}$

$\Rightarrow$ x= $\boxed{38.63}$

Given triangle is isosceles so two sides of this triangle will be equal and let equal sides be x.Also,given longest side of triangle(hypotenuse) is 16m. Now applying pythagoras theorem, x^2+x^2=16^2 simplying it, we get x=11.3 now perimeter of triangle=11.3+11.3+16=38.6
