Counter Example : \Large \text{Counter Example :}

0 × 2 = 0 × 3 2 3 \large \color{#D61F06}0 \times \color{#3D99F6}2 = \color{#D61F06}0 \times \color{#20A900}3 \Rightarrow \color{#3D99F6}2 \neq \color{#20A900}3

Omg I ignored the fact that it can be 0

a b = a c a b a c = 0 a ( b c ) = 0 ab=ac\\ ab-ac=0\\ a(b-c)=0 So either b = c b=c or a = 0 a=0 ,in which case b b and c c may be any two different numbers.

if 'a' is not equal to zero then the condition should be given as a info in the question. therefore the answer given is correct
