x + x 2 = 6 x+x^2=6

or, x 2 + x 6 = 0 x^2+x-6=0

or, x 2 + 3 x 2 x 6 = 0 x^2+3x-2x-6=0

or, x ( x + 3 ) 2 ( x + 3 ) = 0 x(x+3)-2(x+3)=0

or. ( x + 3 ) ( x 2 ) = 0 (x+3)(x-2)=0

so now, x = 3 x=-3 or x = 2 x=2

so, x = 2 x=2 ............[wanted the positive value]

x^2+x-6=0 =>x^2+3x-2x-6=0 =>x(x+3)-2(x+3)=0 =>(x+3)(x-2)=0 x=-3 or 2 Positive value of x is 2

x + x 2 = 6 x ( 1 + x ) = 6 x ( 1 + x ) = 2 × 3 x + x^2 = 6 \\ x(1 + x) = 6 \\ x(1 + x) = 2 \times 3 So, x = 2 x= 2

x + x 2 = 6 x+x^2=6

x 2 + x 6 = 0 x^2+x-6=0

( x + 3 ) ( x 2 ) = 0 (x+3)(x-2)=0

x = 3 x=-3

x = 2 x=2
