Logo:

25 * X = 1225

X = 1225 / 25

X = 49

(In English) Silas's stride length --> 35cm

Sue's stride length --> 25cm

Silas walked 35 paces, so:

35*35 = 1225cm

Sue need walk 1225cm, but his stride lenght is different. So:

25 * X = 1225

X --> Number of paces that Sue need

X = 1225 / 25

X = 49

silas = 35 cm x 35 strides = 1225 Sue = 25 x sue's stride = 1225 so, Sue's stride is 1225/25 = 49

what is meant by stride?

Not exactly. It actually refers to a long step taken while walking.

1 stride from Silas = 35cm 1 stride from Sue = 25cm

35 strides from Silas = 35cm x 35 = 1225cm For Sue to keep up with Silas, she has to take 1225cm. 1225cm/25cm= 49 strides from Sue.

35:25=35:x 25x=(35)(35) 25x=1225 x=49

35 strides is equal to 35*35 cm = 1225 cm, then to maintain the balance divide 1225 by 25 = 1225/25 = 49

35x35 is 1225.So, if Silas takes 35 strides, she would walk 1225 centimeters. 1225/25 is 49. To keep up with Silas, Sue has to take 49 strides because 49x25=35x35. So the answer is 49.

35*35=1225 1225/25=49

35 x 35 = 1225 1225 divide 25 = 49 #

(35 x 35)/25 = (5 x 7 x 5 x 7)/(5 x5) = 7 x 7 = 49

35*35 = 1225 cm que Silas percorre. 1225/25 = 49 passos que Sue deve dar para percorrer a mesma distância

let x no of strides Sue have then by the problem.....=> 35 35=25 x; =>x=35*35/25; =>x=49 (ans)

First you would multiply 35 * 35, which equals 1225. Then you would divide it by 25 and you would get 49. 49 is your answer.
