Letter C is the only one not having that n or u figure.

The third pattern in C is unique as is absent from all other options.

All except C, wether facing up or down, have that figure that initiates answer A, 2nd to last in answer B, 4th to last in answer D, and second in answer E.

All except C have a box like figure with nothing else attached. For an example look at the first figure in A
