x x must be positive to satisfy the solution

So we assume that x = 1 x = 1 , f ( 1 ) = 1 1 1 1 = 0 0 f(1) = \frac{1-1}{1-1} = \frac{0}{0}

0 0 \frac{0}{0} is undefined, so x x cannot be 1 1

x x must be larger than 1 to get a real solution

Therefore, n = 1 \boxed{n = 1}
