Find the sum of length, breadth & height of a cuboid, whose whole surface is 214 sq.cm, area of base is 42 sq.cm and its volume is 210 cubic cm.

2(lb+bh+hl)=214 ----------> 1 ( given ) lb=42 ( given ) lbh=210 ( given ) ---------> 2 putting lb=42 in equation 2 , we get h=5 substituting the known values in equation 1 , we get 2 ( 42 + h ( l+b ) ) = 214 42 + 5 ( l+b ) =107 5 ( l+b ) =65 l + b = 13 so , l+b+h = 13 + 5 = 18 .
