You find yourself in a stuck in a submarine underwater and find three cylinders filled with gases. Two of them are lethal and one will help you get to the top. You can also smell the gases. The first one smells like Rotten egg, The second one smells like garlic and the third one is odorless and colorless. Which one will help you get up?

The Odorless and Colorless one Rotten egg smelling one None! I will just die there. Garlic smelling one

The odorless one is the right answer because it contains Hydrox(O2 and H2) which is a breathing gas. The rotten egg one has hydrogen sulfide which is highly flammable and can paralyze the respiratory system. The garlic one contains Arsine another poisonous gas

But C02 is both odorless and colorless (and poisonous to beathe.) How do we know what gas is in there?

I meant to say CO (carbon monoxide), not CO2. Ruby

Remember: One of them is the good gas. You have to use your knowledge of gases to exclude the garlic and rotten eggs one.
