x = 2 pt shots attempted ===> 2x = value of 2pt shots made

y = 3 pt shots attempted ===> 3y = value of 3pt shots made

0.5 (2x) + 0.4(3y) = 54 pts ===> x + 1.2y = 54

But x = 1.5 y so 1.5y + 1.2 y = 54 ===> 2.7 y = 45 ===> y = 20

3pts=x 2pts= 1.5x 2(.5 1.5x)+3 (.4 x) = 54 After solving, 2pts:3pts::15:10 => 30:20
