I have adjusted the values so as to get only one positive value of y
You will get equation as 4 y 4 + 4 y 3 + y 2 + y − 1 0 = 0 = ( y − 1 ) ( 4 y 3 + 8 y 2 + 9 y + 1 0 )
We can see that the equation has only one positive real root and that is 1 . Others will be either negative or imaginary. :)
