While purification of compounds we explore different kind of differences between the impurity and the compound.In distillation we look at the difference between their boiling point.The vapours are condensed by using condenser and the liquid is collected in a receiver. One day heiten an 11 standard student find a figure shown in his chemistry textbook in which the inlet and outlet of condenser was labeled , he surprisingly noted a fault in that and rushed to his class teacher and said "Sir, in our textbook the inlet of distillation is at low height and the outlet is at high height don't you think it should be just opposite to save energy of pumping water" Ram sir immediately laughed and appreciated his good observation skills and told him the reason why it cannot be reverse
