Let each child get x x part of a lime, then we have:

20 ( 2 x ) + 12 x = 13 52 x = 13 x = 1 4 \quad 20(2x) + 12x = 13\quad \Rightarrow 52x = 13\quad \Rightarrow x = \frac {1}{4}

Therefore, 5 5 children get 5 x = 5 × 1 4 = 1.25 5x = 5\times \frac {1}{4} = \boxed{1.25}
