Just do direct substitution: lim ⁡ x → 100 x ∣ x ∣ = 100 ∣ 100 ∣ = 10 100 = 0.1 \lim_{x\to100}\dfrac{\sqrt x}{|x|} = \dfrac{\sqrt{100}}{|100|} = \dfrac{10}{100} = \boxed{0.1}
