Liquid Metal Rain drops !

Kepler2-229b is a planet which has uniformly collected, positively charged cosmic dust on its surface.

Notes:

  • Take the raindrop to be a complete sphere of radius r . r.
  • Ignore gravity and air resistance.
  • The raindrop is neutral.

Given Information:

  • The distance between the planet and the raindrop is d . d.
  • The radius of the planet is 13.14567 km . 13.14567\text{ km}.
  • The charge on the planet is Q = 1 0 12 C . Q = 10^{12}\text{ C}.
  • The radius of the droplet is 1 cm . 1\text{ cm}.
  • The mass of the drop 1 g . 1\text{ g}.

Find the acceleration of the raindrop when it is at a distance of d = 1000 km . d = 1000\text{ km}.
