⇒ 2 x = 0.125. \Rightarrow 2^x=0.125.

⇒ 2 x = ( 0.5 ) 3 . \Rightarrow 2^x =(0.5)^3.

⇒ 2 x = ( 1 2 ) 3 . \Rightarrow 2^x = {(\dfrac{1}{2})^3}.

⇒ 2 x = 2 − 3 . \Rightarrow 2^x = 2^{-3}.

⇒ x = − 3. \Rightarrow \boxed{x=-3.}
