Let y = 5^44 => logy = 44 log5 => logy = 44 (log(10/2)) => logy = 44 (log10-log2) => logy = 44 (1-0.301) => logy = 44*0.699 => logy = 30.756 Number of digits in 5^44 = 30 + 1 = 31 digits

why did you use logarithm to find the number of digits
