If log 1000 = 3 \log 1000 = 3 , log x = 1.4 \log x = 1.4 , log 2 = 0.3 \log 2 = 0.3 ,

log 3 = 0.47 \log 3 = 0.47 and log y = 0.6 \log y = 0.6 ,

find the value of x + 2 y 1 x + 2y - 1 .
