2 solutions

I figured that if the bottom left is worth 2, the top right is worth 4, and the top left is worth 8, adding the values of the sections that are red gives the correct answers, and, figuring the sections contain values of 2^x, in order for a sum of 7, the bottom left has to be equal to 1. Then it's just a matter of seeing that 4+2+1=7 and shading in those sections.

Emmalee, you are exactly right. The method that you felt is the binary to decimal conversion. Good that you figured it out. :)
