Loss due to Fake currency

A lady purchased one item of Rs.200 and gave shopkeeper (X) Rs.1000 note but since he did not have any change he get the change from neighbour shopkeeper (Y) and gave Rs.800 back to the lady. After some time neighbour shopkeeper realised that the Rs. 1000 Note was fake and X shopkeeper had to give 1000 rupees back to Y. Now can you tell what is the exact loss of shopkeeper? (Note : Due to stock clearance, he sold that item with 0% profit.)

2000 800 1200 1000

Item cost Rs. 200 + 800 rupees = 1000 rupees. Lady gets 800 rupees cash and 200 rupees item for free. So 1000 rupees is exact loss of Shopkeeper.
